Chicago, I love you // SX2013 // 3.16

Chicago, I Love You… will return for a second installment in October, 2013. In it’s inaugural outing last September, the free festival ran for thirty days and nights exclusively at one venue. “This fall however, will be something a bit different,” says Schraeder. “Instead of one month, it’s one week. Instead of one venue, it’s fifty!” With support from Do312, the Chicago, I Love You… Free Week Festival will be spread throughout the city as a celebration of all things Chicago- music, art, comedy, film, literature, restaurants, and theater.

As part of that celebration of the city and to give people a glimpse of what is in store for the next installment of the festival, Schraeder is throwing a party in Austin, Texas, called Chicago, I Love You… BBQ @ SX2013. On Saturday, March 16, over twenty artists will perform on two stages at "Special Magic Barn Fantastic" the converted barn/recording studio belonging to famed Austin singer-songwriter Danny Malone. The show begins at noon, and the complete lineup of artists and set times is below.
“Special Magic Barn Fantasitco is just walking distance from downtown Austin, and we’ll be only a few blocks away from the hipster hangout known as The Fader Fort,” Schraeder quipped. "This show should be looked at as a meeting ground for all our Chicago bands, booking agents, and fans. Even a few journalists will be allowed.”
For those who won’t be in Austin to see the show live, The Chicago, I Love You… BBQ @ SX2013 will be filmed and made available online. For more information, contact

Chicago, I Love You… BBQ @ SX2013 is sponsored in part by HIS EGO, Do312, Squirrel Trap Records, SideCar Chicago, and Township Records.
